Volleyball Recap: Boswell Comes Up Short

Boswell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forney Jackrabbits.

Boswell might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Forney: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Emily Brister paced Boswell's offense, picking up nine kills. Brister got some help from Brooklynn Williams and her 19 assists. Finally, Carly Curtis kept Boswell's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Boswell now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Forney, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Boswell has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Clear Brook on the 15th. As for Forney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Westlake on the 15th.
