Volleyball Recap: Boswell Falls Despite Big Games from Maribel Longspaugh and Evelyn Main

Boswell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forney Jackrabbits.

The 2-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Boswell lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Boswell's loss came despite strong showings from Evelyn Main and Maribel Longspaugh. Main had 21 digs and four assists, while Longspaugh had eight digs and one assist. Main is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Boswell now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Forney, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Boswell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Clear Brook on the 15th. As for Forney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Westlake on the 15th.
