Softball Recap: Homestead Highlanders vs. New Holstein Huskies
While Homestead put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for New Holstein. The Highlanders put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 11-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.

Stella Leaman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lauren Strifling, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Anna Faucett was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two doubles.
Homestead always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Holstein only posted an OBP of .118.
Homestead's record is now 6-17. As for New Holstein, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.
Looking ahead, Homestead will welcome Grafton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Holstein, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Cedar Grove-Belgium on the 17th.
