Football Game Preview: Seiling Wildcats vs. Strother Yellowjackets + Official Tickets

The Seiling Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Strother Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Seiling knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Strother likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Seiling duked it out with Canton on Friday. The Wildcats claimed a resounding 52-6 win over the Tigers. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Tigers are ranked 69th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Strother was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Wetumka. Even if the Yellowjackets couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Seiling pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.2 points on average over those games. As for Strother, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
