Preview: Airport Eagles vs. Indian Land Warriors
Having just played yesterday, the Airport Eagles will jump right back in to play the Indian Land Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Airport is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
Airport has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season. They blew past York 58-19 on the road. With that victory, Airport brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Santana Reese was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. Ja'sia Booth was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Indian Land didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Gilbert on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. The victory was just what Indian Land needed coming off of a 70-30 defeat in their prior contest.
Airport is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Indian Land, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Airport came up short against Indian Land when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 34-25. Can Airport avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
