Basketball Recap: Dalton Grimes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat White River

With a playoff win on the line, Kadoka rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They took down the White River Tigers 48-30. The 48-point effort marked the Kougars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Kadoka got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dalton Grimes out in front who shot 89% from the field to rack up 19 points. Those 19 points gave Grimes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gus Stout, who went 6-for-14 en route to 12 points.

The win made it two in a row for Kadoka and bumps their season record up to 13-8. As for White River, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Kadoka will look to defend their home court on Friday against Crazy Horse at 6:00 p.m. White River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
