            Basketball Recap: Centennial Spartans vs. Arlington Heights Yellowjackets        
        
		
        
        
            Centennial and Arlington Heights squared off in some playoff action  on Tuesday, but Centennial had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets by a score of  62-60. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the  game with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 80th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 237th).
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arlington Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Da'Marcus Jones, who  went 6-for-14  on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaeden Grant, who  went 6-for-11  en route to 17  points.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 28-8. As for Arlington Heights, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record  this season.
 Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arlington Heights, they will take on Denton at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Arlington Heights' favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last 18 contests.
