Basketball Recap: Laytonville Comes Up Short

Laytonville was the 37-26 winner over Tomales when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Laytonville Warriors fell to the Tomales Braves 45-39. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tomales' win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josh Flores, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Cornett, who had 12 points.

Laytonville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Tomales, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Coming up, Laytonville will challenge Anderson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tomales, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 38-24 loss against Mendocino on the 10th.
