Volleyball Recap: Sweetwater Victorious

Sweetwater's tournament run continued when they took on Grossmont on Saturday. The Red Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Foothillers, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Sweetwater can attribute much of their success to Sergio Salazar, who had 12 digs and one block. Salazar is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season.

Sweetwater's victory bumped their record up to 26-10. As for Grossmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Coming up, Sweetwater will head out on the road to face off against Mar Vista at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grossmont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for the Foothillers: they have been struggling with 12 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while the Eagles have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
