Baseball Recap: Morgan Park Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

While Morgan Park's victory against Brooks wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Eagles 13-12 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted against the Eagles since April 20, 2022.

Morgan Park got a great performance from Keenan Harrell as he struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Harrell a new career-high.

At the plate, Jayvion Price was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Lovett, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.

Morgan Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive games.

Morgan Park is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-3 record this season.
