Football Recap: Mathis Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mathis extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. The game between Mathis and London didn't end well, with Mathis falling 34-15. If Mathis was looking for revenge after losing 41-16 to London when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for London, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Alex Manning had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 237 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 51 yards and one touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. London's leading receiver Zach Tyrone was Manning's top target yet again, picking up 123 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mathis is set to square off against their familiar foe Edna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, London will take on rival Goliad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
