Basketball Recap: Scottsboro Comes Up Short at Home Against Fort Payne

Scottsboro unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 57-38 bruising from Fort Payne on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Scottsboro in their meetings with Fort Payne: they've now lost four in a row.

The victory made it two in a row for Fort Payne and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Scottsboro is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Fairview at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Payne, they will face off against Pinson Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 59.6 points per game this season.
