Soccer Recap: Cigarroa Takes a Loss

Cigarroa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Toros couldn't quite close it out.

Cigarroa's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9-1.

Cigarroa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they will face off against Juarez-Lincoln at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Veterans Memorial's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
