Basketball Game Preview: North Pole Patriots vs. Monroe Catholic Rams

North Pole is 0-10 against Monroe Catholic since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The North Pole Patriots are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against the Monroe Catholic Rams at 7:30 p.m. Monroe Catholic took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on North Pole, who comes in off a win.

North Pole will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 29 points back in December of 2024, then bounced right back against Tikigaq two weeks ago. North Pole claimed a resounding 74-24 win over Tikigaq.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Monroe Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to Grace Christian. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Monroe Catholic's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for North Pole, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

North Pole suffered a grim 55-30 defeat to Monroe Catholic in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can North Pole avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
