Soccer Recap: Spring Creek Comes Up Short

Spring Creek's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the North Duplin Rebels by a score of 2-1. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Spring Creek's goal came courtesy of Elisa Mendoza, which was the first she's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Spring Creek and nudges their season record down to 1-3-2. As for North Duplin, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Creek will take on James Kenan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Duplin, they will face off against Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
