After losing to Eastlake the last time they met, Pebble Hills decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Spartans managed a 19-14 victory over the Falcons on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pebble Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joe Fernandez, who threw for 206 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 52 yards. Noah Tarrant was in the mix too, providing the Spartans with two touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Pebble Hills' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Jayden Frasier was especially locked on to Eastlake's QB and sacked him twice. Frasier has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played.

Eastlake's loss came despite strong showings from Julian Williams and Derick Holguin. Williams rushed for 143 yards, while Holguin rushed for 89 yards. Williams is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).
