            Baseball Recap: Anahuac Panthers vs. Hardin Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            Anahuac was the  5-0 winner over Hardin when they last played one another  back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Anahuac might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  6-2 to Hardin, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers' loss continues a  trend for the  team, making it three in a row.
Anahuac got a good showing from  Garrett Cornelius, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Cornelius has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Anahuac saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Oscar Garza, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI. That's the most  hits  Garza has posted since back in February.  Braedon Edmonds also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Anahuac's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Hardin, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hardin beat Anahuac by a score of  3-1 on Saturday.
