Baseball Game Preview: Central Columbia Bluejays vs. Midd-West Mustangs

The Central Columbia Bluejays will take on the Midd-West Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Central Columbia came up short against Danville and fell 6-1. The Bluejays have struggled against the Ironmen recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Midd-West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-3 to Danville.

Midd-West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Kyle Shupp also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Midd-West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Central Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
