Brennen Newton Game Report: vs Avon Lake

For the first time in his career, Brennen Newton tossed a passing touchdown on Friday. He threw for 75 yards and one TD, but sadly Midview still had to take a 39-7 loss at the hands of Avon Lake. We rated that as his best performance since last Friday, when he picked up 85 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Newton and Midview are taking a road trip to face off against Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Newton duked it out with the Titans (back in September of 2024), the Middies came out on top by a score of 16-7. Will another strong game from Newton be enough to do it again?
