 Deer Valley scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  an  18-1 margin over the Agua Fria Owls. The result was nothing new for Deer Valley, who have now won seven matches by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
  Aubrey Leyba and  Adyson Ordway made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Leyba   pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (she also only allowed one  walk). Meanwhile,  Ordway   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate,  Leyba  went 2-for-5 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI, while  Ordway  scored a  run while going 2-for-5.
 In other batting news, Deer Valley got a  massive  performance out of  Taylor Passalacqua, who  went 4-for-4 with four  runs, five  RBI,  and two  doubles. Passalacqua has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Leila Hermosillo was another key contributor,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 The  win was  the sixth in a row for Deer Valley, bringing their record for this year to 11-8. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.3 runs per game. As for Agua Fria, their defeat was  their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-10.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Deer Valley beat Agua Fria by a score of  18-1.
