Softball Preview: Clopton Hawks vs. Montgomery County Wildcats
The Clopton Hawks will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against the Montgomery County Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Montgomery County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Clopton, who comes in off a win.
Clopton is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Marion County. Clopton never let Marion County onto the board and left with a 14-0 victory back in August. The win was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Montgomery County's offense. They lost 11-0 to Bowling Green on Tuesday. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.
