Basketball Recap: Prairie Takes Down Front Range Baptist in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Prairie rose to the challenge on Thursday. They secured a 51-46 W over the Front Range Baptist Falcons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Front Range Baptist's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mark Sutton, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Sutton is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last five games he's played. Benjamin VanDenBerghe was another key player, putting up 14 points and six boards.

Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. With the loss, Front Range Baptist broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8.

Prairie has already played their next game, a 48-38 defeat against Kim/Branson on the 7th. Front Range Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
