Football Recap: Sandhills Valley Comes Up Short

Sandhills Valley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were outmatched by South Loup and fell 46-6. The Mavericks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Cotter Johnston threw for 52 yards. Sheek Bruns was his top target, picking up 92 receiving yards.

South Loup's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

South Loup was led to victory by Dylan Pandorf and Conner Paulsen. Pandorf rushed for 47 yards and three TDs, while Paulsen gained 104 total yards and two touchdowns. Crew Witthuhn got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
