Basketball Game Preview: Mason Eagles vs. Dewar Dragons

The Mason Eagles will take on the Dewar Dragons in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mason is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Mason is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paden on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Pirates are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, Dewar was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Quapaw 52-19. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Dewar's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mason, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything went Mason's way against Dewar in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as Mason made off with a 67-47 win. Does Mason have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dewar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
