Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Training Center Christian's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Training Center Christian extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Creed Lopez. Training Center Christian snuck past the Christian Learning Center Mustangs with a 72-66 victory on Monday thanks in part to Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten boards. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Training Center Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Doll, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. What's more, he also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

Training Center Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 28.2% in those games and 43% outside of them. As for Christian Learning Center, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.

Training Center Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Christian Learning Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
