Soccer Game Preview: Menchville vs. Kecoughtan

The Menchville Monarchs will square off against the Kecoughtan Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Menchville sitting on seven straight victories and Kecoughtan on five.

Menchville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Nansemond River get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Considering Menchville have won 14 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Kecoughtan was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Warriors who were credited with the victory. Kecoughtan got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Woodside's four. One seems to be a good number for Kecoughtan as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Menchville's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Kecoughtan, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
