Maeser Prep Academy and Carbon are an even 3-3 against one another since August of 2017, but likely not for long. The Lions will head out to square off against the Dinos at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Maeser Prep Academy will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against West Jordan on Thursday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Jaguars. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Maeser Prep Academy were the better team in the second half.

They hit West Jordan with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cami Simmons (2), Lilah Leeper, and Caitlyn Herbert.

Meanwhile, Carbon got the win against St. Joseph on Thursday by a conclusive 8-1. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

The victory got Carbon back to even at 1-1. As for Maeser Prep Academy, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Maeser Prep Academy couldn't quite get it done against Carbon in their previous matchup back in August of 2020 as they fell 3-1. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
