Football Game Preview: Sparrows Point Pointers vs. Eastern Tech Mavericks

The Sparrows Point Pointers will challenge the Eastern Tech Mavericks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Sparrows Point's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Eastern Tech has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sparrows Point beat Loch Raven 18-12.

Meanwhile, Eastern Tech was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 28-24 to Patapsco.

Sparrows Point's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Eastern Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Sparrows Point came up short against Eastern Tech when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 13-7. Can the Pointers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
