Soccer Recap: Riverbend Takes a Loss

Riverbend fought the good fight in their overtime game against Stafford on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 234-0 to the Stafford Indians. Having soared to a lofty 58 goals in the game before, the Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Riverbend's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Stafford, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Riverbend does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stafford will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chancellor at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. One thing working in Stafford's favor is that they have posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.
