Softball Recap: Anderson County Find Success

On Monday, the Anderson County Mavericks were able to grind out a solid victory over the Beech Buccaneers, taking the game 8-5.

Alli McKamey was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Brock, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

The win got Anderson County back to even at 2-2. As for Beech, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Anderson County has already played their next matchup, a 7-4 victory against Ezell-Harding Christian on the 10th. As for Beech, they will head out to face off against Gallatin at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th.
