Basketball Recap: Kiana Takes a Loss

Kiana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 57-35 to the Davis-Romoth Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Lynx can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Wolves are ranked 11th).

Davis-Romoth's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Ticket, who posted 15 points. Zamara Ticket was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Kiana's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Davis-Romoth, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Kiana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Davis-Romoth, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-34 victory against Aqqaluk on the 15th.
