Canyon View had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Emery Spartans on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Canyon View got a massive performance out of Trenton Ludlow, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Zach Maine also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Canyon View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matches.

Canyon View's record now sits at 24-5. As for Emery, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-18.

Canyon View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Emery, they will take on Morgan at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
