Basketball Recap: Archbishop Mitty Comes Up Short

Archbishop Mitty and Archbishop Riordan squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Archbishop Mitty had to settle for second. They lost to the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders on the road by a 59-45 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Monarchs in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost six in a row.

Archbishop Mitty's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Archbishop Riordan, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Coincidentally, Archbishop Mitty and Archbishop Riordan will both be playing Menlo-Atherton the next time they take the court. Archbishop Riordan will host Menlo-Atherton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Archbishop Mitty will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
