Basketball Game Preview: Kemper County Wildcats vs. Quitman Panthers + Official Tickets

Kemper County and Quitman are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Wildcats will square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kemper County duked it out with Morton last Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jakayla Chamberlin, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards. Anunda Williams was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Quitman put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Lauderdale 59-28. The Panthers pushed the score to 39-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights had little chance of recovering from.

Quitman's win came from a few key players Kemper County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was KA'LEY MOODY, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was SARIAH BINGHAM, who had 12 points.

Quitman's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Kemper County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Kemper County was taken down by Quitman 63-24 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Audriana Harris (who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
