Baseball Recap: Dimmitt Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lockney last Monday, Dimmitt came back down to earth. The Dimmitt Bobcats lost 10-1 to the Ropes Eagles on Friday. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dimmitt saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Villareal, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Dimmitt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Ropes, their record now sits at 6-4.

Coming up, Dimmitt will challenge Friona at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Friona has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.1 runs per game on average), something Dimmitt will no doubt try to take advantage of. Ropes has already played their next matchup (against Littlefield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
