Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McKinley Tech). They enjoyed a cozy 84-67 win over the Banneker Bulldogs on Wednesday. This was payback for the Trainers, who suffered a 62-56 defeat the last time these two teams met.

McKinley Tech is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Banneker, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKinley Tech will host Woodson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinley Tech is facing Woodson at the right time seeing as Woodson is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Banneker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 25 matches -- so hopefully Banneker likes a good challenge.
