Basketball Game Preview: Forest Bearcats vs. Newton Tigers + How To Watch

The Forest Bearcats will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Newton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Forest is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight games dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-47 heartbreaker at the hands of Southeast Lauderdale.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 67 points the game before, Newton was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 43-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Philadelphia.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Forest couldn't quite get it done against Newton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 as they fell 53-46. Can the Bearcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
