Pantego Christian strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 26-21 W against the Lake Country Christian Eagles. Those 26 points were actually the fewest the Panthers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Pantego Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Reynolds led the charge by picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 52 yards and one touchdown. The Panthers also got a significant boost from Anthony Jackson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pantego Christian's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brendan Osborne, Jackson, and Alex Warren, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Pantego Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Lake Country Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pantego Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lubbock Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Lake Country Christian, they will challenge Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
