Baseball Recap: Jefferson County Takes a Loss

Jefferson County was the 3-0 winner over Knoxville Central when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots lost 10-4 to the Bobcats on Tuesday.

Jefferson County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Kirk, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 21-13. As for Knoxville Central, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-9.

Looking ahead, Jefferson County will take on West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Knoxville Central, they will face off against Carter at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
