Ansonia had lost nine straight, but after bumping their record up to 2-12 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Union City Indians with a sharp 12-4 victory. The Tigers' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

As for Union City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly eight runs.
