Volleyball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Duluth East's Winning Streak

After a string of ten wins, Duluth East's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roseville Raiders. The Greyhounds were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in October of 2022.

Harlow Hartwick paced Duluth East's offense, picking up ten kills. Hartwick got some help from Chelsea Zentz and her 19 assists. Evelyn Viney controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Roseville to victory were Whitney Walen and Stella Rivard. Walen had three digs and three aces, while Rivard had five digs.

Duluth East's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Roseville, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Duluth East and Roseville will both be playing Fargo South the next time they take the court. The Greyhounds will head out to face the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
