Idalou has gone 8-0 against Muleshoe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Idalou Wildcats will host the Muleshoe Mules at 6:15 p.m. Idalou will be strutting in after a victory while Muleshoe will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Idalou sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over Littlefield.

Meanwhile, Muleshoe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against Shallowater, falling 72-18. While losing is never fun, the Mules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 803rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 109th).

Idalou is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Muleshoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

Everything came up roses for Idalou against Muleshoe when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-33 victory. Will Idalou repeat their success, or does Muleshoe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
