KIPP Austin Brave was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 53-7 loss at the hands of the IDEA Bluff Springs Bats. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

IDEA Bluff Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Samantha Saucedo-Palencia out in front who went 12 of 19 en route to 32 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Saucedo-Palencia has scored at least a third of IDEA Bluff Springs' points. Another player making a difference was Je'Nise Solano, who made all 8 shots she took for 17 points.

KIPP Austin Brave's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for IDEA Bluff Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Valor South Austin the next time they take the court. KIPP Austin Brave will head out to face Valor South Austin at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, while IDEA Bluff Springs will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th.
