Football Recap: Fontainebleau Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fontainebleau's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 28-7 to the Covington Lions. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Even if they lost, Fontainebleau's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Gabe Soliman, Travis Green, and Devon Dibenedict, who each picked up one sack apiece. Soliman was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (6.0 for loss).

Fontainebleau now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Covington, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Fontainebleau will take on Slidell at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Bulldogs will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Covington, they will host Mandeville at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. This will be the Lions' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
