Basketball Recap: Ben Scheuher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lutheran North over Pontiac

Lutheran North saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell just short of the Pontiac Phoenix by a score of 57-54.

Lutheran North's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Scheuher, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 22 points. That's the most points Scheuher has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Starrs, who went 7-for-9 on his way to 15 points and five boards.

Lutheran North's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Pontiac, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Lutheran North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pontiac, they have already played their next matchup, a 69-63 win against Detroit Country Day on the 26th.
