Soccer Game Preview: South Haven vs. Hackett Catholic Prep

South Haven is 0-3 against Hackett Catholic Prep since September of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Fighting Irish at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, South Haven came up short against Edwardsburg and fell 4-2. While losing is never fun, South Haven can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Edwardsburg are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, Hackett Catholic Prep's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 2-0 to Saugatuck. That's two games in a row now that Hackett Catholic Prep have lost by exactly two goals.

Hackett Catholic Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-5. As for South Haven, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4-4.

South Haven suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hackett Catholic Prep in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
