Football Game Preview: Cloverleaf Colts vs. Bay Rockets

The Cloverleaf Colts will challenge the Bay Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Cloverleaf was beaten by Streetsboro 35-7. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bay came up short against Rocky River on Friday and fell 31-21. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Pirates are ranked 109th).

Cloverleaf will have to contain Charlie Rodgers as he made an impact in Bay's last game. He rushed for 98 yards and one TD, and also picked up 48 receiving yards and one score. Brody Beggs also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.

Cloverleaf's record now sits at 6-4. As for Bay, their record is now an identical 6-4.

Cloverleaf took a serious blow against Bay in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 41-14. Can the Colts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
