Softball Recap: Amboy Takes a Loss

Amboy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Polo Marcos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marcos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Tuesday.

Amboy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Polo, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amboy will challenge Serena at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Clippers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Polo, they will head out on the road to take on Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
