Baseball Recap: West Carter Comes Up Short

If West Carter was feeling good fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Tolsia on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets fell just short of the St. Joseph Central Irish by a score of 13-11 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 two weeks ago.

West Carter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for St. Joseph Central, they pushed their record up to 26-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road.

West Carter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-7 loss against Bath County on the 7th. As for St. Joseph Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-7 defeat against East Carter on the 7th.
