Preview: Harrison Huskies vs. Somers Tuskers
Harrison is 0-4 against Somers since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Harrison Huskies will take on the Somers Tuskers at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Harrison comes in on five and Somers on nine.
Last Friday, Harrison had just enough and edged Yorktown out 24-21.
Meanwhile, Somers stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Eastchester 35-14. Somers pushed the score to 35-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Eastchester cut but never quite recovered from.
Mason Kelly continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Dean Palazzolo also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.
Harrison pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Despite that those good results, the team's offense hasn't been rolling: across that stretch, they only averaged 16.3 points per game. As for Somers, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
Harrison suffered a grim 21-0 defeat to Somers in their previous matchup back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Somers' Mac Sullivan, who rushed for 37 yards and three touchdowns. Now that Harrison knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
